- And for the record: the Ricky Gervais penned Simpsons from last night WAS hilarious, and I ain't just talking about the brilliant live action opening credit sequence.

Also for the record: if you don't get British humor it's because you really aren't hip to humor, period.

I loved how it was so clearly at least mostly the voice of one guy. When an ep is written by a regular OFF writer you can sometimes hear his or her influence, but only subtly, as so much of the stuff is still written by committee. I'd LOVE for them to do more of these. Steve Martin? John Stewart? Ben Stiller? That Freaks and Geeks guy?Aaron Sorkin?!?!?!

Actually Conan O'Brien's episodes always felt like this one, but that was over a decade ago.
